| In this study, carried out between 1990-1994, was done the description of morphology of different growth stages of Pollinia pollini Costa (Homopteera Asterolecaniidae) examined its distrubition, biology and some factors affecting on the population density in İzmir. It gives only one generation, active larvae was seen as from middle April and high larvae hatching had been in May, and hatching of larvae continued during the summer. Lain, temperature and relative humidity were the factors limiting on the increasing of the population. This study suggests that this insect could be controlled by prunning and population density could be decreased by fertilization. |
