| In this study, started in 1979, clones with superior table and oil olive chracteristies were tired to be found by resarching genetic variability within Memecik cultivar. For this aim, 331 trees from 51 orchards in 3 provinces (Aydın, İzmir, Muğla) were determined and kept under observation in their own ecologies for five years. The data obtained were evaluated by using a modified weighed ranking method based on yield performance, alternate bearing tendency, fruit size, flesh ratio and oil content of the studied individuals. As a result, 9 individuals were selected as candidate clones for the comparison trials to be realized under the same conditions in the second phase. |
