| In this study, woody cuttings of Ayvalık, Çakır, İzmir Sofralık, Memecik, Gemlik and Uslu varieties were used. 15 and 30 ppm concentrations of IAA and IBA were tested. Olive cuttings were kept in wood shavings for a month and then two different media were used for their rooting. As a result.
- The rooting ratio of woody cuttings were showed important differencies according to the olive varieties. Rooting ratios of Gemlik, -Uslu and Memecik varieties were found %55, %35 and %30 respectively.
- %100 sand was found as the most suitable rooting media.
- IAA and IBA were found to be effective on the rooting ratio of cuttings; lenght and weight of shoots, amount of roots, lenght and weight of roots.
30 ppm of IBA was found the most effective concentration, in rooting ratio of all the varieties. |
