| In thıs research , the seed germination powers and their seedling characteristics of 22 wild olive, five domestic; Ayvalık, Çakır, Erkence, Memecik, Gemlik and one foreign Chemlali varieties, being cultivated in our region were investigated and these results were obtained.
- Seedling productivities of wild olive varieties are lower than that of cultivated varieties.
- It was suggested that using of wild olives seeds isn’t suitable in comercial nurseries.
- Germination power of Chemlali olive seeds was found rather high level as 34.3.percent. |
