Proje adı : INVESTIGATION OF SEASONAL VARIATIONS OF MICRO AND MACRO PLANT NUTRIETNS IN MEMECİK OLIVE CULTIVAR (1981)
 Hazırlayanlar : Gülter PÜSKÜLCÜ
This study was undertaken to study the seasonal variations of macro and some micro plant nutrient contents of leaves in on and off years during the year and to determine the most suitable sampling period for leaf analysis. Two locations (Milas and Kemalpaşa) where Memecik variety olives are grown widely, were selected and leaf samples from orchards with no appearent nutritional deficiency were taken for two successive years to cover both productive and nonproductive years. Analyses of leaf samples have shown. That N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Fe,Mn and Zn contents of leaves showes significiant seasonal variability, this being true for productive and non productive years. According to the results, the proper sampling period for determining the nutritional status of Memecik variety olive trees using leaf samples differs according to the nutrient elements, interested. For N,P,K,Ca, and Mg it is found to be December, For Fe, Zn and Mn the prepare sampling is found to be November. The best sampling period of leaves is the period where the nutrient content shows the least variability. These periods are called stable periods. When leaf samples are taken any other time the results can be corrected and nutrient contents at the stable period can be predicted, using the correction factors calculated based on the fitted polinomials.
