| This research was conducted for assesing the nutritional status of Olive Orchards which consist of Memecik olive variety in Aydın province. For this purpose 225 orchards in nine different town of Aydın Province were selected then soil and leaf samples were taken.
According to the soil analysis results, in generally the soil textures were sandy-silty and silty-sandy. There were some differences from the point of soil reaction and lime content. The soil was poor in organic matter. Phosphorus, magnesium, iron, manganase and copper contents of soil were found adequate, but potassium, calcium, zinc and boron contents of soil were inadequate.
The total nutrition status was found lower than the normal almost in all olive orchards. The physiological balance was disturbed aganist potassium and phosphorus. In the off-year, the balance approached to the optimum level.
Boron, zinc, potassium deficiencies and in some orchards manganase, nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium copper deficiencies were determined in tho leaves. Iron and calcium were usually found sufficient. |
