| In this study, the values of labor requirement, field capacity energy consumption and expenses were determined in the widespread cvs, of Memecik and Çakır in Aegean Region for both traditional methods, which are commonly used in olive harvest, and different mechanical ones, which may be an alternative in harvest.
In the study, 7 harvest methods were applied in Memecik cv. as well as work rate of a multi-directional trank shaker was evaluated based on the related literature. The results suggest that mechanical methods have a chance in using them in the olive harvesting. There is a posibility to increase field capacity by means of structural improvements in the harvesting methods and olive plantations, as well as different working organisations. |
